You will need:
- One wood piece 1m (or desired dimension) and 2-3 cm thick
- thick rope
- 2 screw hooks
- electric drill
- measuring tape
Optionally:
- wood paint
- Paintbrush
- Instant glue
Step 1
Using the measuring tape, measure the desired distances in the timber and with the electric drill drill four holes (two at each of the two shorter sides of the timber), a little larger than the thickness of your rope.
step 2
Cut four pieces of rope in the desired length, pass their edges through the holes you created, and then make strong knot at the bottom of the shelf. Then, connect the two cords on each side and then make other two knots, from which the shelf will be hanged. For greater strength you can add to every knot a few drops of instant adhesive.
step 3
Measure the distance between the ropes and with the electric drill drill two holes in the wall. Place the hooks on the wall and hang your new shelf!
Tip: If you do not want to keep its natural color, you can paint the wood in the shade you want.
